Q2.

Where to begin! Time flies these days.

The last few months have been filled with ups - leaving the house successfully - and downs - leaving the house with a crying baby. Liam has grown rapidly! I can't believe he's already approaching his first birthday.

Getting out of the house is such a racket these days, we don't attempt it often. Still trying to figure out the best methods so that we are all as calm and happy as possible.

Pre-Bridal Shower.

Amanda and Ryan's wedding occurred earlier this month, so I spent some time helping coordinate both the events leading up to the big day (bachelorette, bridal party) in addition to providing some ideas for their wedding.

The bachelorette party was a lot of fun! We spent the day at Glen Ivy Hot Springs and then drove down to San Diego for some dinner and bar hopping. It was my first full day away from the baby which was an adjustment. I had attempted previous outings but had been unsuccessful at spending so much time away. Even this time I went home to see Zach and Liam before driving down to San Diego, haha. It was a nice break to spend some time with girl friends and (try to) let loose a bit.

After a rainy Easter, we celebrated Amanda's bridal shower! I hosted the party at my house and all the games were huge fun. Along with the bridesmaids, I'm so glad I was able to contribute to celebrating her and including Lexi and Charlee!

After the pre-wedding wedding events, we set off to NC with Lexi for a couple weeks.

This trip was kind of a "trial run" to test out how traveling with a baby would be, so we didn't have too many activities planned out, especially because Zach and I were still working during most of our trip. Thankfully Liam loved flying and eventually adjusted to a new time zone, although it was kind of tough at first!

We managed to go to a goat farm on a rainy day and spent a lot of mornings hiking. Liam also finally got to spend some time with "Lola and Papa" and meet some family members...about time!

What a traveler!

Once we came back, it was time for the wedding! Even just attending a wedding with a baby is a lot more of a logistical challenge than attending a wedding as a couple. Again, thankfully our baby loves novelty and enjoys himself even if his nap times are few.

Now that we are back to the routine, most of the week is spent attempting to balance work and personal life which doesn't leave room for much else.

We've been returning to our hiking routine on the weekends with Tony and recently attended Sage's baptism. Yesterday Liam even had a playdate!

Lexi's birthday is coming up and the weather is heating up indicating summer is nearly here. We don't have much planned, but I'm looking forward to whatever it is we get up to!

Until next time....
