Christmas.

It's the holiday season with babies!

As expected, we've been mostly home since Halloween. I went back to working (remotely) right before Thanksgiving. So far the transition hasn't been too difficult, but it does limit any time I previously had to tend to the home, family, baby, etc.

We are getting by as best as possible though!

Liam is still working on sleeping through the night, but that is improving as well. I still feel like I am catching up on sleep I lost during his first weeks of life.

He is developing exponentially. We are really seeing developments and new phases each week. We even noticed a tooth popping up this morning.

He's been learning and growing interest in eating solid foods. He'll even cry when he notices everyone is eating but him. It's so much fun watching him grow. I'm admittedly enjoying him more too, now that he is developing more skills.

We enjoyed Thanksgiving Day gathered with friends and celebrated again with a small Thanksgiving meal I made that weekend. And then, it was time for Christmas! We went to a Christmas tree lighting and Liam met Santa!

Zach and I also celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary with a lunch with Lexi (who celebrated with us last year) and Liam. He graduated to the stroller seat and I think he really enjoys being more a part of what's going on.

To continue the family traditions, the four of us went to see The Grinch musical in San Diego. It was am amazing time! Liam seemed to be really engaged with the show and was not phased by the creepy Grinch!

A couple weekends later, we went to OC for the annual Run for a Claus 5k. I love being able to participate in these kinds of things with my family! And I love that Zach and I still manage to take part in activities that we enjoyed before we had kids.

I anticipated shifting my routine with kids, but it's been a surprising joy to still be able to do the things I love and share them with my son and husband.

Christmas is only 8 days away now! We will probably keep the day relatively simple. Opening gifts with family in the morning, FaceTiming family from afar, and then spending the rest of the day to ourselves. Liam won't understand the concept of Christmas yet, but I'm looking forward to sharing it with him. (And I can't wait until he's old enough to look forward to it!)

It's a wonderful life! Until next time...
