(South) Carolina.
Immediately after we returned from Yosemite, we flew to Greenville.
We spent about three weeks in South Carolina, but most of it was spent working since we didn't take any time off. I thought I might need to, but everything worked out much differently than I anticipated.
My sister flew in a few days after we arrived to stay with us! Being with her and spending so much time together was truly special. It really made my time there so much better.
My parents drove down every weekend so we really got a lot of quality family time!
Medical travel is a weird thing. At least in this case. Since the reason for our trip was dictated over medication and doctor visits, I was afraid to leave the house a lot in fear that activities might interfere with any medical scheduling.
We made the most of it though and I still feel like we were able to explore some of Greenville and have fun at the house. We even got to see some friends!
One day I may share more details of how each day went. For now, I'm not quite ready. I will say that it was a great experience despite some annoyances and bad moments.

Our last week climaxed with a Tuesday morning procedure and then waiting for the results to follow. I will never get used to anesthesia. We got good news after the procedure and the next day continued to be good although a little nerve wracking. Now it was just time to wait.
When we returned home, we seamlessly fell into the same boring routine like we always do. It has been driving me especially crazy this time since we're just waiting for news when we should take action. Only a few more weeks, but they are dragging by and I just wish I knew more of what to expect.
It's been challenging to feel stagnant, even though I know behind the scenes there is progress. And each passing day is one step closer. I hope I can finally share some happy news soon. This year has been really difficult and I'm ready to be over with it all.
Until next time....
