Escape.

My third decade has really been off to a boring start. I don't miss the constant hustle and bustle of my 20s, but I do long for adventure every once in a while. I know we're being financially intelligent by saving money, especially after such a big wedding expense, but it would be nice to not be so predictable every now and then.

Soon enough we will be...I just need to be patient.

We've established weekly family dinners with Amanda and Lexi. It's really been the only thing that gets me through the week sometimes. It's nice to catch up with them and hear about everything going on in their lives when we're not there. And I love having a purpose - a family to provide for!

On the weekends, when nothing else is going on, we've been pretty consistent about hiking. It's been a fun, little escape from the day to day. I dread the summer weather though because it will likely put an end to our excursions.

It's a joy to get outdoorsy with Lexi, too!

A couple weekends ago, I escaped to the Pacific Northwest to see one of my best friends, Alyssa! It was the best weekend catching up with her after 2 years of being separated and hiking among the trees. I miss the environment up there. I wish I could have stayed longer!

Zach and I are planning a trip sometime later this year and I really can't wait.

Reunited finally!
Exploring some old WWII bunkers!
I love the outdoors!!!
We walked along the whole labyrinth.

I'm happy March is coming to an end. To me, this month has dragged on and while I'm not really looking forward to hot, sticky summer weather, I am excited for our future plans.

April means I will finally get to see my family again.
In June, we are finally going to celebrate our honeymoon.
July we'll be introducing Lexi to Yosemite.
In August, we'll probably move.

Who knows what will happen in between. I'm hoping for a few things....

Until next time.... And GO DUKE!!!!
