Returning to work did not pan out to be as scary as I imagined! I've quite enjoyed it a lot more than I expected.
Being employed full-time doesn't really lend much for other activities, but thankfully my work schedule feels a lot more flexible than it previously did - one of the silver linings of COVID-19 and being able to work remotely.
Zach and I have been staying in one place much longer than we're used to and it's been a dream. I never realized how much I wanted to be static, haha. Along with everyone else, we (aka Zach) spent a few weeks looking into buying a house out here. He even put an offer in on an amazing home and it got accepted! After really thinking it through though, we ultimately decided not to move forward with it.
I think it was a path we could have been happy with and definitely could have made work, but there are other paths right now we're more interested and open in pursuing. I hope we do get our "dream home" someday soon though.

Weekends have since been reserved for family and friends. It's so heart-warming to be a part of a community.

Lexi celebrated her 6th birthday and was even able to have a party with kids this year. Such a vast improvement from last year's festivities.
We also took a semi-impromptu trip out to Arizona for more birthday celebrations and to visit with Zach's dad and grandfather. It was fun for me to meet his grandpa and see some of the similarities between them. And it's always great to be reunited with family.
I'm headed back to NC soon. Really excited to see my mom, dad, and sister again and get some much needed Williams family time. It's never enough since I'm so far now, but I'm also dreading being separated from Zach for an extended period. We're always together so it's weird being apart!
Off to enjoy the sunshine this weekend! Until next time....
