Bridechilla.
I've always heard February feels like the longest month despite having less days than all the other months. Usually I agree, but not this year. Winter seems to be flying by! (For those of us in southern California, that is.)
So far my 2021 has been a trio of reading, running, and wedding planning.
I finished a good deal of books in January but have since taken a reading break. I do have quite a number in the reading queue though, so I'm hoping to start back up before March.
The running book above has been a great resource! I started the half marathon training program a few weeks ago and honestly I already feel like I can complete the 13.1. Maybe I'll even consider a full marathon later this year.
I'm basically running everyday and the days off feel strange. I really hope I can continue the program when I return to work.
We've also been taking advantage of the nice, cool weather by hiking when we can. Lately we've been indoors because Zach is studying and I am planning our wedding. At least the places we've been staying have accessible backyards so we can get a little feel of being in nature. I think we'll be back to being hikers by April.
Now that wedding planning has been underway, I feel good about sharing our event with everyone.
I was initially worried we might be waiting too long to plan and secure everything, but the planning really escalated once we got the venue decided on. I've basically spent the past few weeks securing all the big to-do's and I feel like I have everything planned already! I want to get it done as soon as possible so I won't have to think about these things anymore. (And it's a lot easier when you don't have a full-time job also taking priority.)
Now I'm off to get my miles in this week. Until next time.
