Considering how we have not been able to leave the house much these past few months, there has not been a lot going on in the Williams/Mitchell household.
We are now primarily living close to Zach's family and friends so it's been really great getting to spend more time with everyone! I am excited for the upcoming autumn activities.
A couple weeks ago, we took some time off to visit my "second hometown" Seattle! I was initially supposed to run a half marathon race while we were in town, but when that was canceled, we decided to go anyway since we haven't had a break in a while.
Of course we did all the touristy activities since it was Zach's first time visiting - Pike Place Market, Space Needle (on the day when visibility was the worst!), Dick's Drive Inn....
We spent a couple days with our friend, Bryan and his family who had just moved up to WA. Zach got to meet a couple of my Seattle friends from back in the day, too! It was fun sharing a part of me before I was a part of "zachloe."
We hiked a bit at Mt. Rainier National Park and then explored one of my favorite places ever - The San Juan Islands.
I used to frequent the islands every summer when I lived in Seattle, but it's been 5 years since I was able to visit. I'm so happy Zach was able to experience it with me.
Now we're off to my true hometown in just a few days! I can't wait for my California fiancee and my southern family to collide!
