Since I moved from the east coast, most of my Thanksgivings have been spent with friends.
Thanksgiving 2013 was a giant Australian pot luck mixed with traditional dishes and not-so-traditional items like Doritos and fried rice, haha.

First Friendsgiving in Seattle. Love these memories.
For Thanksgiving 2015, my family came to spend the holiday in my (relatively new) neck of the palm trees. It's always my favorite time when they are here with me.

Last Thanksgiving spent in NC.
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because I see it as an expression of love through sharing delicious, made-at-home food and spending quality time together. It's also a gateway into the official beginning of the Christmas season - another holiday centered around family, friends, and love.

I'm always appreciative of my life and the good fortune I've had. This year I am especially grateful because of the special people I was able to spend the holiday with. They truly have contributed to my life in a way I never could have imagined possible.

Day after Thanksgiving relaxation :)
I hope your Thanksgiving holiday was as special as mine was. Let the Christmas festivities begin!
